Asked about the IQ-CAM ME40.

What is the difference between ADAS and DMS?
ADAS watches the road: collision risk and lane departure. DMS watches the driver: distraction and fatigue. The ME40 is the only camera in the IQ-CAM family with both.
Do I have to fit all four channels?
No. Forward and cabin come as standard, and the side, rear and mini-dome cameras are optional. Fit the angles that matter on the truck and add to it later.
How much footage does it hold?
About four weeks on the 512 GB card, which is roughly double what the MC30 holds. Events also upload to your dashboard as they happen.
Is the ME40 overkill for a small fleet?
Fleet size isn't what decides it, the route is. A six-truck operation running tight city delivery, with a lot of backing and blind-side turns, has more to gain from four channels than a thirty-truck fleet on open highway. If your risk really is all ahead of the truck, the MC30 covers that for less. Where the claims come from what the driver couldn't see, the ME40 is what pays for itself.
