Asked about the IQ-WIRED-28.

What does IP66 actually mean?
Dust-tight, and protected against powerful water jets from any direction. In practice it means the device survives a wash bay, a job site, and a winter parked outside.
Can it track a trailer?
Yes, where the trailer has power. It reports location, detachment and idle time. For trailers and equipment with no power at all, IQ-BAT runs for years on replaceable AA lithium cells, and for powered trailers the Phillips Connect devices add tire, brake and light health.
How is the 28 different from the 13A and the 68?
The housing and the I/O. The 28 is the only one of the three rated IP66, and the only one with digital inputs and outputs for site equipment.
Is there a contract?
